While many of the stars in the Bollywood Galaxy Stars are headed for holidays, Priyanka Chopra and Bollywood Hot Actor Ranbir Kapoor have work on their mind.

On Christmas night, the duo packed their bags and left for New York to shoot director Siddharth Anand Bollywood Upcoming Movie Anjaana Anjaani for which they have already shot a schedule in Bangkok.

The film’s crew had already reached New York when Ranbir and Priyanka left last weekend. Both the actors have recently come out from a broken relationship and have also been linked together.

In New York, they are going to shoot many romantic scenes including a short song which Ranbir recently recorded in his own voice. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala plans to keep a day off for the stars on December 31 so that they can enjoy the New Year’s Evening. But the shoot will resume after a day’s break.

The survey- Airtel Mobitude 2009- captures the preference and choice of over 116 million mobile users located across India.

Based on the compilation of data that captures all downloaded content by an Airtel Mobile user during 2009, Airtel Mobitude is an annual survey that will be released by Bharti Airtel at the end of every calendar year.

“Airtel Mobitude 2009 reflects the true choice of India. A mobile phone is considered by many as an intrinsic part of their daily life, be it a user in a small village or in a large town. It fulfills a consumer’s social and entertainment needs, from communicating with others, to downloading music, images and games, ” said Atul Bindal, President- Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd.

Spreading across different parameters, Airtel Mobitude 2009 highlights interesting choices and preferences of ‘Mobile India’.

For instance, Katrina Kaif and Aamir Khan were the most downloaded celebrities on an Airtel mobile beating the likes of Kareena Kapoor - Bebo, Salman Khan - Sallubhai and Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan. Surprisingly, the survey also showcased that mobile users prefer to download a lot of Hollywood celebrities’ as much as Bollywood superstars.

Over 200 million music downloads were completed by Airtel users in 2009.

The study reflected that maximum music was downloaded by mobile users in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharastra and Punjab. Regional music was as popular as Hindi songs in all these States. Surprisingly Jab Dekho Phone Kar Dete Ho, an April Fool Joke is the most downloaded music ahead of Jai Ho of Slumdog Millionaire.

Taare Zameen Par' Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s award winning directorial debut, is being released in the US next month on DVD by the Walt Disney Studio as 'Like Stars on Earth'.

Releasing on January 12, 2010, 'Like Stars on Earth' includes seven Bollywood dance numbers, animated interludes and a brand new English-language track for the cross-cultural audience, a media release said.

Bollywood IIFA Awards headed to Toronto in 2010 – New Year.

Toronto will become the first North American city to host a major Bollywood Awards show in June, 2011.

The International Indian Film Academy Awards, to be held June 16-19, honor artistic and technical achievement each year in the Indian film industry, known around the world as Bollywood.

The ceremony has been held in a different international city since its founding in 2000.

A joint release from the IIFA and the Ontario government said the awards should attract about 40,000 visitors to the city and another 350 million viewers to television screens the world over.

"With so many film buffs living in Ontario, Indian film stars and executives will feel right at home," said Premier Dalton McGuinty, who is in Mumbai.

Names such as Bollywood Hot Sizzling Celebrities Actresses Dia Mirza, Celina Jaitley, Fardeen Khan and Vivek Oberoi might not mean much to most film buffs in this hemisphere. But these Bollywood A-listers who are all headed to Toronto have contributed to an industry that produces twice as many movies as Hollywood and sells about four billion tickets each year in India.

South Asians make up the largest visible minority in Toronto, with about 300,000 — 12 per cent of the entire city's population — living there.

The 60-year-old actor stepped into the film world in 1975 with a debut in Kannada film Katha Sangama directed by Puttanna Kanagal.

Since then it has been a long journey for Rajnikanth having acted in 173 movies so far, including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and Bengali films. He had his own share of big hits that include 'Murattukaalai', 'Pokkiri Raja', 'Thanikattu Raja', 'Naan Mahaan Alla' and 'Moondru Mugam' to name a few.

Rajinikanth also made a foray into Bollywood with Andha Kanoon, but couldn't make that much impact as he had in the south. Yet he continued to act in Hindi films. The dazzling finale of Anandalok Purashkar 2009, held in Kolkata recently witnessed a bevy of Bollywood Hot Actress Rani Mukherji, Irfan Khan, Asin and Neil Nitin Mukesh along with eminent Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, along with popular names from Tollywood (Bengali film industry). Anandalok Purashkar, a popular award ceremony in Eastern India, celebrates its twelfth year of felicitating the best on the silver and small screen, television and music.

The evening that brought the glitziest and the most glamorous of the Bollywood and Tollywood fraternity together also had performances by Pritam and his band 'Metro' featuring Sohail, Antara, Utpal and Soham; along with sizzling dance numbers by renowned Tollywood actors Suvosree and Hiron.

The awards were given out to the Best Actors- both male and female; best Debutants- both male and female, Best Music Director, Best Director and the Best Film in the film category. The television category will have awards for the Best Serial and Best Actor both male and female.

Anandalok Purashkar 2009 also recognized the achievements in non-film music by felicitating the Best Non-film Music Album.

This year, a new category- the 'Face of 2009' has also been introduced - for which the Most Successful upcoming face of Entertainment Industry was awarded.

India's Bachchan reverts to childhood in unusual film.

An unusual Indian film that casts 68-year-old Bollywood Legend Superstar Amitabh Bachchan as a 13-year-old school boy, with his own son playing the lead, has the world's most prolific film industry buzzing. In "Paa," Bachchan plays Auro, a teenager afflicted with Progeria, a rare genetic condition that causes a person to age faster than normal.

And, in an ironic twist, the role of Auro's father is being played by Bachchan's actor son, Abhishek. "The director of the film came up with the idea that he wanted me to play my father's father and we set about looking for a plausible reason to do that.

That is when we came upon Progeria," Abhishek Bachchan told Reuters.

"Paa" opens in more than 700 cinemas in 20 countries on Friday. Posters for the film, made on a budget of around $3 million, show an almost unrecognizable Amitabh Bachchan, with a large bald head, bulging eyes, and buck teeth, wearing a school uniform. The film, however, focuses on the relationship between father and son, and doesn't "talk about the tragic life of a Progeria victim," Abhishek said. Bachchan's role and heavy make-up, which took five hours to apply, is uncommon in Bollywood, which generally puts out films that revolve round love stories and trademark song-and-dance sequences, or more commonplace social or political themes.

"The makeup was the toughest part, but I don't want anyone to think that this is a film about Progeria. This is a father-son story at its heart,"Director R. Balakrishnan said.

Bachchan, one of India's most well-known and respected actors, said he was intrigued by the fact that he would play his own son's son, but Abhishek said he deliberately distanced himself from that real-life relationship. "We are actors and we know that when the camera is rolling, all relationships go out of the window. As an actor I can't be thinking, "oh, he is my father, and I am playing his father.' That just messes with your head," he said.

Now that Shilpa Shetty is married to the man of her dreams, Raj Kundra, the actress can’t wait to have babies.

“Oh yes! I certainly want to be a mother. I can’t wait to start our family,” the newlywed told news daily.

After tying the knot on November 22 and throwing a lavish wedding reception for Bollywood folks two days later, the couple is now off to their honeymoon in America and the Bahamas.

So, as Shilpa settles down into a married life and awaits motherhood, will she shift base from Mumbai to London, where Raj’s business is based, and cut down on her Bollywood assignments?

“You know, Raj accepts me as I am. He never interferes with my work and I’m free to continue my work in films. As for shifting base to London, now I have two homes - one in Mumbai and the other in London. So, I’ll keep moving to and fro,” Shilpa chuckled.

Shilpa has two films in her kitty - an Indo-Chinese venture ‘Desire’ and a Hindi film called ‘The Man’ with Sunny Deol.

However, her mind is presently occupied with thoughts of stepping into motherhood. Expect the stork to come cooing soon.
