The Bachchans are known to be very traditional. They celebrate all traditions and customs in a grand manner.

And the arrival of Son Abhishek Bachchan’s baby calls for a major celebration, and the women of the family had been planning this for a long time.

Jaya is planning everything down to the last detail - from the menu to what her bahu will wear, to the jewellery, singing and dancing. The event will be held in the afternoon.

Aishwarya will go to her mother's house and the Rais will follow their own customs and traditions, but that will an intimate gathering of close friends and family members only.

Jaya and Shweta are personally calling up their friends to invite them.

The senior Bachchans are thrilled about this first child and their third grandchild and wanted to make it special.

Guests invited are Gauri Khan, Sussanne Roshan, Maanayata Dutt, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Sonali Bendre, Shrishti Arya, Kirron Kher, Mana Shetty, Kajol, Twinkle and Rinke Khanna, Sridevi, designer Ana Singh, and Kaajal Anand.

Abhishek Bachchan had been shooting in Jaipur for Bol Bachchan for over 50 days, flew in on Saturday morning.

Sister Shweta Nanda flew in from Delhi to help her mom prepare for the big day.

(1) As per Latest Abhishek Bachchan Interviews, he said that, “He wants at least two kids with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He has only one sister and maybe this has inspired him to have two kids. The very idea of planning kids sounds absurd to him as he thinks it's a blessing of God and it should just happen on time whenever its meant to be. He finds weird when people say 'Lets plan it and we are trying for a baby'.”

(2) Aishwarya Rai has reportedly rejected a $1 Million (Rs. 5 crores) offer by a Hollywood studio to shoot a documentary filmed on her. According to the deal, a foreign crew would follow her for a week and document her personal and professional life.
